Yes, it WAS true. Sean Penn was going to play Larry alongside Jim Carrey and Benecio Del Toro in The Three Stooges film.  Unfortunately, the cast and the Farrelly Brothers got a swift eye gouge and slap in the face by Penn.  It was announced yesterday that Penn will be taking a year off from acting to concentrate on his family.

With the Harvey Milk voice and Carlito’s Way hair,  Sean Penn was a brilliant choice.  Who should replace him?
