Trailer: The Social Network
I know it seems like this has become The Social Network official website, but what can I say? The official trailer has just been released for David Fincher’s latest film. Remember how I told you this could be an Oscar contender? Remember how warned you not to be turned off by the teasers? Feast your eyes on this masterful trailer. Much like the inspired use of Arcade Fire in the Where the Wild Things Are trailer, this one utilizes one of the greatest bands on the planet, Radiohead…with a children’s choir twist singing “Creep.”
This is what a movie trailer should be. A silly idea for a film (Facebook) now is looking like a brilliant idea.
Teaser Trailer #2: The Social Network
There’s a reason I have an “Obsessions” tab. So here it goes. Another The Social Network post.
This teaser doesn’t stray far from the original that was released a few weeks ago. In an interesting twist, this ultra-paranoid teaser goes the Twitter route instead of the ways of Facebook. This is not surprising, as Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook do not “like” the idea of this film as it was based off of a book with many inaccuracies. Check out THIS article in how Facebook will not accept ad revenue on anything related to this film on the site.
I can’t wait to see an actual trailer to see the visual style that David Fincher decided to take with this film. These first two teasers make the film seem ultra dramatic, but in reality the film will be more fun than this conveys. One actor to note is Andrew Garfield who plays Eduardo Saverin — the one who takes the biggest hit from Zuckerberg. Garfield just landed the role of a little known character called Spiderman. You don’t know him now, but you will definitely know too much about him shortly.

The Social Network is due in theaters October 1st.

I’ve read the book. And I’ve read the script.
I know that this is going to be one of the best films of the year.
When you are ready, I’ll give you more info. But you’re not ready yet. It might blow your mind. You can’t handle what’s in store for you.
The teaser here is going to play before Inception.
It gives you nothing. Yet, gives you so much.

The poster art below is perfect.
One of my most anticipated of the year.
