Teaser Trailer: The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer is finally upon us.

Most of this trailer is made of footage from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight (Bruce Wayne walking up to Ra’s village, the bats around him in the cave, smashing of the bat signal, etc.) but for the first time in a Dark Knight teaser trailer, we actually get real footage. That’s Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon) mumbling something about that fact that they need Batman to come back (I get that he’s hurting and in a hospital bed, but cmon! Can barely understand what the hell he’s saying). And we get a glimpse of Tom Hardy as Bane.   This is the film to see in 2012. It’s the final Christopher Nolan Batman movie. It might be THE event film of the decade. That’s right.

At the end of the trailer, we get a quick glimpse at Batman squaring off against Bane (Hardy). Check out Tom Hardy in Bronson HERE. I think we can all agree Batman has no chance.

I don’t usually write about movie posters. They are a marketing play – plain and simple. But this is not your ordinary movie.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls — your first look at the final act of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

Click the one to the right, or check out the larger version after the jump.

First Look: Spider-Man Reboot (2012)

spidermanfanposter

Let’s skip right past this upcoming summer slate of films.  Summer 2012 has the Spider-Man reboot starring Andrew “The Social Network” Garfield and directed by Marc “(500) Days of Summer” Webb.  That’s right. We are getting a rebooted Spiderman only 5 years after the disastrous Spider-Man 3 with Tobey Maguire. Sony has just released the first look at Garfield in costume.

From the looks of it, he just came back from a Fall Out Boy or 30 Seconds to Mars concert.  So moody. So emotional. So….much of the same ole Spider-Man.

Regardless, this is inspired casting (Andrew Garfield is great) and an interesting choice for director. Color me slightly interested.

Release date: July 3, 2012

Check out Spidey in all his spidey-tastic glory after the jump.
